eCampus Academy uses Honorlock, a third-party online test proctoring service, to ensure academic integrity during student assessments. Honorlock uses tools such as webcam monitoring, microphone access, screen recording, and identity verification to confirm that students complete assessments independently and without unauthorized resources.
Because your student is under the age of 18, we require parent/guardian consent for the use of this service.
By signing below, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1.Consent to Proctoring
I authorize my student to use Honorlock for online test proctoring as directed by eCampus Academy. I understand this service will monitor my student’s testing environment, including video, audio, and computer activity, during designated assessments.
2.Collection and Use of Data
I understand that Honorlock will collect and temporarily store recordings of my student’s testing session for review by authorized school staff. These recordings are used solely for academic integrity purposes and handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
3. Technology Requirements
I acknowledge that my student must use a compatible device with a functioning webcam, microphone, and reliable internet connection to participate in proctored exams.
4. Privacy Considerations
I understand that my student’s testing environment should be free from personal or sensitive materials, as the webcam and microphone may capture the testing room.
5. Voluntary Consent
I understand that my consent is voluntary, but that failure to consent may affect my student’s ability to complete assessments required for course credit.
6. Release of Liability
I release eCampus Academy, Watertown Unified School District, and their employees from liability related to the use of Honorlock, except as otherwise provided by law.
